Dr. Ashley Gates and her team are passionate about helping patients reach their oral health goals. We offer a variety of procedures to suit every patient’s needs and work within their budget. We focus on providing gentle, high quality dental care that will not only help you look your best, but also feel your best.

Meet the Doctor

Dr. Ashley Gates

Dr. Gates is a general dentist who provides gentle and comprehensive dentistry with a focus on education, prevention, and evidence based practice. Dr. Gates was born and raised in Sylva, NC. She attended North Carolina State University and received a bachelor of science degree in Biological Sciences with a focus on human biology. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During dental school, Dr. Gates spent two weeks in Uganda providing dental care in rural villages. Dr. Gates is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Smile Source, Spear Education and “IAOMT International Academy of Oral Medicine & Toxicology”. She is active in the Junior League of Asheville and a 2024 board member of the Doctors Park Association. When she isn’t in the office, she can usually be found hiking, reading, traveling, or working with her husband on their mini farm.
